Whether down town Madison or Isthmus, West, East, Monona, Middleton or Verona etc, your home will be priced 5-15% less than it could have sold at the peak.   But if it is priced correctly, (and that is where you need a dedicated professional, - not some part timer) - your home will sell. 

Moving up to a larger home, you will achieve a larger discount on the higher price and so your “buy up” price will be less than in a better market.  And low interest rates will make your step up even more affordable!!
